Default RE: Yippee !!!!!! MW 44's Arrive

You are correct about starting the engines. Connect all the fadecs trough a "Y" arness, set the throttle to idle, and start one, and then the other. No problems at all. We used this system in the Artesjet Hotspot that was powered by 3 JF50 bees. The 3 fadecs where connected together to the throttle channel, and to start we set the throttle to idle and started the 3 engines, one after the other. The engines where installed very close one to another, and we used the data terminal of the fadec to see the egt to detect when the gas ignited. After a bit of practice, we had the 3 engines running in a couple of minutes.

You will be very pleased with the MW44. I own one, that I'm using for setting up the autostart installed on a Savex L39, and it is a very fine engine. The tank is of 950cc (32oz) and I have 6 minute flights, plus a couple of minutes more of taxi, and always stop the engine with 1/4 of the tank left.
