My XL is a couple of pounds heavier. 90% of the time is at 1/2 throttle on my old 35lb Jetcat Titan, but I do goose it for verticals and on the front side of loops etc. (Keep in mind that any extra thrust you purchase will have a much bigger effect on climb than on top end speed)
IMO you're takeoffs are gonna be fine given that you're flying off of pavement. Barring some financial factor I'm not privy to, my 2c is to fly it with what you have, then go bigger later if YOU feel the need.
