I know this is an old thread so hopefully you have not done this yet. If so it will hopefully stop the next person.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES SPRAY WD40 INTO THE MOTOR
. WD40 is a great cleaner but a terrible lubricant. It's simply designed to remove water and for very mild lubrication. Getting old on the motor brushed will also destroy the motor in very short order. Problem is spraying it into the motor will get it on the comm, rotor and brushes and they will be toast.

To answer the original question. Yes you can wash it with soap and water. A better option is to set the motor in a cup of water and run it slowly for about 1 minute. This is a very common thing for Titan motors for both break in and cleaning. Once the motor comes out of the water you can run it up to speed once to remove 90% of the water then break out the hair dryer and get the the motor warm to remove the last bits of water.

Lastly you'll was to place 1 drop of some type of oil on each bushing. Don't get too picky about what you use here. Just don't use WD40. Light weight shock oil works great as well as norma motor oil. Only use one small drop per side and you'll be good to go.
