The pylon guys seem to like the backplate mounts. I would think they would be ok if the bolts go into the case far enough. The fins can be turned down on a lathe if the head is too big, or at least hacksaw off the top few fins above the head bolts. I do that to all the car and heli motors. I think I will do the old Supertigers too. They seem to idle too cool.
