Does anyone know if Lockheed have stopped their demands for such payments? If they haven't, maybe the license fee is delaying the F-35 gaining popularity among model jet manufacturers.

Funny anecdote.....an LM rep saw my F-35 model and asked me who made it....to which I replied a company in China. He's million dollar answer was that no company in China is paying royalties for any LM product licensing (from his answer I take it includes the venerable F-16).
So, take it with a grain of salt. Sometimes is just better to ask fro forgiveness than to ask for permission.
