The clipped wing Cub is intended to be aerobatic, not just a lazy flier. That calls for some power.
My first Sig 1/4 clipped wing Cub had an O.S. 1.08 FSR engine in it. That was more than enough power on wheels and floats.
My next one will have an O.S. 1.60 FX in it. That's a bit more power with a bigger prop for increased thrust, so it should be a good match.
If you can install a bigger engine, you won't be sorry.
