I'm sorry to hear that . I have friends and family in Europe and it's the same there . They have this "VAT" (Value Added Tax) that is an absolute killer , and so called "luxury" items are taxed at the highest rate . An 8 cylinder car , for example , costs 3X more in taxes than a 4 cylinder car , and this is across the board on just about everything but food .
