Afterburners are prohibited under the AMA's turbine rules, and I am not aware of any commercially produced afterburners that are currently available for hobby sized turbines.
I have read a couple of stories of guys who have designed and built their own afterburners, but I don't think they were ever installed in a model because the fuel requirement far exceeded the thrust increase.
It may, or may not be a viable thing for a land vehicle.
