I've always been of the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" school, so I say stick with the IBU. The only concern would be whether or not they've fixed the momentum thing. The newer IBU boards have a built in momentum/inertia feature which can't be disabled, making for a very poor IR battle tank, but they were supposed to do something about that and make it so you can turn off the momentum if you want to. I would contact Ian Judge at rctankelectronics in the UK and see if that's been fixed, and if so, that's the board I'd go with for your needs. I've tried the clark boards and must say I honestly don't care for them, but if they now have new and better motor controllers they might be worth looking at.
