I’m not 100% sure but the a123 batters are older technology than life and they work the same but the a123 are much likely to failure because of they design the layers of the foil is wrapped super tight and some time they crack doing they cycle when charge an if this happens depending where is the crack they losses they capacity ,the life batteries have flat cells so they could expand and shrink doing the using cycle ,I have some problems with the original a123 batteries before and witnessed two crashes because of the a123 type battery failure ,I’m not using Lipo’s ,but some of my jets still have the 6.6 v a123 and now I’m in process to replace them little by little with the life type batteries,as the mks servos they are very good and they work the same one both types of batteries.
