Cool

What use are you putting the boat to, because your setup is pretty extreme. The motor Kv is really too high for most uses on 12S and many motors will not tolerate the rpm your setup produces. It is most suited for a few high speed passes then back to the beach to cool off. If you are expecting long run times you may be disappointed. Where did you get the recommendations for your build?

Prop choice is very important, with this setup going just a little too big can burn things up. Too small and you will not reach top speeds or efficiency.

The CG position is very critical to a cat’s performance, just 1/2” to 1” fore or aft can make a noticeable difference. It is expressed as the percent of the hull length starting at the transom, not the extreme back end of the boat. Most cats run between 31% and 35% depending on the hull and speed.

Strut adjustment is also very critical to good performance, both in the height above the bottom and the angle with the bottom.

What batteries are you using - brand, capacity, C rating, 2P or 3P?

As you can see, tuning a cat can be a challenge. I’ve been running FE cats for almost 30 years and I’m still learning as power and hulls continue to change.
