I used to own 5 of those Duratrax Evaders, why 5? Because they broke all the time and parts would constantly go on back order, so I was forced to buy spare rollers to get parts and would stock pile parts when they came back in stock. Eventually I got so frustrated with the brand I would start calling them "Duratrash" and would eventually sell off all 5 of those cars and never looked back!
IF you can find Losi XXT spares, the quality of their plastic is far superior and worth buying where the XXT is 100% compatible with the Evader which was a direct copy of the XXT, but the hardest part to replace was the chassis which often broke at the front bulkhead mount.... if I was in your position, I would cut your loses now and sell the chassis before you get any deeper in the whole with it
