Folks, again coming from where I sit, please refrain from any China bashing or mouthing the talking points Ive seen elsewhere.

China's government decided to close the boarders for only one reason - we're very close to being covid-19 free as of this week & given the irresponsibility we're seeing back home to my east across the Pacific makes it a very prudent decision to take. I'm certainly not a fan or supporter of the current CCP Dynasty in Beijing but I will say, they sure do know how to stop the spread of an epidemic in its tracks.

If anyone wants to lay blame for what's happening now in the States, there is quite a lot to share as Max Brooks did on Fresh Air the other day. Besides being a noted novelist & son of Mel Brooks, he's also taught at West Point's Modern War Institute & does know his stuff. I've always valued his insight in previous interviews I've seen him do so highly recommend a listen or read the transcript.

Much more if you want to dig deeper into what should have been known as a given years before. Politico has some excellent reporting that gets deep into the pandemic playbook the Obama Administration left for the present administration as well simulations & briefings during the transition. Yea, lots of blame to go around.
