Servo city has a mods page for the scooter. Highly recomended.
One of the things I found piddling around with the motor when it got HOT and melted the glue and got loose, was the motor was REVERSED timed for gear drive. The motor, with 2 AA batterys, would free rev higher the wrong way! It was set up for press on props! I advanced the timing 1/4 in. OR advanced so it reved as high for the gear drive, reversed, as hi as it used to do forward!
There are MANY posts on advancing the timing so good luck......
