I would gear up for a battery weight of 400g-500g which will max you out to around 1000W-1500W setup, I geared up for 7" props to get enough pitch options as I went forward with development.

FWIW a box stock EXTREME FLIGHT OUTLAW, will get you 150MPH for a $500 investment as a benchmark, I fly a converetd EF nitro version to electric and in the 170MPH range at 2500W with a 700g battery.

Ok well I got mine to go 175mph with a neu 1115 1y on 5cells spinning a 6x5.5 prop it's a blast to fly !! Sounds cool also
