Sounds like way too rich on the lsn. I set the hsn for peak, lean the lsn until it hesitates on transition and then richen the lsn until it just barely stops hesitating during transition. Then I re peak and adjust the lsn again. That usually gets the midrange close enough to fly too. Final tweaking after in flight testing.
Could be a bad glow plug too. I've never experienced a defective new glow plug but there are a few reports of it happening.
