Right side up or inverted I'm seeing no difference in running behavior, that is, if the centerline of the tank is close to level with spraybar. If the tank is at the correct height +/- 3/8" and you're still experiencing problems the engine is either not broke in yet or the LSN is set too rich.
Flooding can be a problem during refueling when inverted. To avoid that I press and hold my throttle cut switch while turning off the main switch on the aircraft. That keeps the throttle completely closed during refueling and transport.
