I have always worked on the principle that German Armour especially light and medium Tanks had never ending problems with their suspension systems, So why not us after all we are constantly searching for total realism and what is more realistic than our Tanks suffering the same suspension failings as the real thing.?
The PZ11 had at least 3 suspension redesigns and the original PZ4 had Torsion bar suspension which would surely have solved the problems that bothered the 1/4 elliptic leaf sprung PZ4s of the following PZ 4 Ausf, This had one advantage, It was cheaper.!!!
When it comes to defense budgets the penny counters had the same influence in those dark days as they do today.
