Go with the NiMHs. LiFes are expensive and overrated. If you can get only 15 minutes out of one that's nuts - I would get that much out of a 4.8V, 600,mA NiCd - a 2000mA NiMH will let you fly all day. And I'd stay with 4.8V instead of 6. I haven't seen any reason to go to 6 yet.
Re-read - that was fifteen 15 min flights. 3 1/2 to 4 hrs of flying. The battery is only about $5
