The small diameter props we use for speed don't provide much flywheel effect either.
If the bladder system is working properly, the FAI Combat engine goes rich before it dies and it leaves a "prime" if you try to restart the engine right away [like in a combat match. With the small head chamber and relatively small CC volume these engines are easy to flood. The Zalp, Fora and the Cyclon share this in common. In the heat of a match it is easy to think the engine needs a prime if it doesn't burp on the first flip.
I wish the FAI .15s had the exhaust pointing down instead of up, but the "Pros" who fly this event use a drinking straw pushed down the intake to clear floods.
