I set up the tail doors to open with the spring. When I installed the two springs, it was way too tight, and looked to put too much stress on the doors. SO much so, that one of the little arms snapped off. I was able to re-glue them, and now, with only using the froward wire, it works great. Anyone else experience this?
I think you will find that in the long run, the 'close with the wire' setup is not very desirable-mine was converted over to 2 mini servos, and most that I have seen are using small pneumatic cylinders.
The wire seems to be a bit rough on the phenolic hinge parts, as you have witnessed.
