I am on old fashioned Windows 98 with their I.E. 4.7

I have occasional sucess if I enter the P.M. such that I can read it and then delete from inside there. As I get junk mail every so often, I would rather not open up certain P.M.s when I find out who is sending them, just so that I can delelte them.

However, if as explained, I check 2-4 boxes, nothing happens. I see a few junk mail senders, and I would like to simply check off, and bleep them away.
