Hi,
I'm doing this Unimog for quite a while now with several iterations as my skills improve. So long that it suffered the "Great PhotoBucket Crisis" and then, the TinyPic going down. For that reason, I've lost my initial photos but, basically, a Unimog was built from scratch
ch:
That mirror has a recess for a piece of selfie mirror:
It had a custom 6x6 chassis, running scx10 axles and front motor
After several months of successful running, decided that it should have portals and began to work on that.Initially,i was thinking of machining them but it sounded better in my head. We don't have a CNC machine at work so even with lot of work these parts would look rather crude. I thought in 3d printing which allow for the "casted part" look I was searching forThis it's the first prototype
This was the improved version mounted on a scx10 axle:
The spheres on the housing ends meet 2 purposes:
-look more like the 1:1
-the portal boxes widen the axle 18mm so I've narrowed 20mm
First prototype of the rear ones:
mounted on SSD housings look awesome:
Better things to come, I promise. Keep tuned!
