Awesome, glad I could help!! Not sure about the backwards compatiability and would need to see more pictures of the drive. The steering should not be an issue though. I really dig seeing these old rc cars and trucks being brought back to life. I have a lot, some are shelf queens, some get driven and some get modded. Either way I enjoy them for what they are.
