I have had a Spektrum DX-18 for many years. It is very good and still use it sometimes.
However, have switched to JR/DFA for past few years and have been very happy.
Spektrum ... made in China. Maybe quality control has been slipping.
I prefer to buy a JR product that is made in Japan or Malaysia, and avoid any Chinese-made products if there is an alternative.
But that is just a personal choice.
