It wasn't so easy last Sunday while trying to maiden one of my latest creation, the 8S powered Hornet at slightly over 3kg AUW. Launching down wind, off pretty rough grounds and negative AOA, there was no lift off!
Rather than having another go later in the day into the head wind with more tension on the bungee I have decided the safer option to modify my bungee hook up by fitting a new skid fin under the nose for more positive AOA, also making up a new heavy duty sling shot cord for models up to 5kg AUW.

Ready for a maiden.

No lift with negative AOA.

New hook up skid with positive AOA.

New HD cord created for heavy EDF jets.
