Pretty much. Area has always been length multiplied by width so it just makes sense to divide area by span to get chord. Now, you subtract the depth needed for the desired chord of the ailerons and that will give you the outer location for the rear spar and the forward edge of the aileron leading edge. From there, it's just a matter of building as desired. I rounded up to 15" for two reasons:
1) to make calculations easier
2) to compensate for the width of the fuselage since the wing area enclosed under the fuse isn't going to have any lift so I compensated for it by rounding up.
