Hi! I initially was going to do exactly what you did, until I saw the middle wing single spar and the ribs that cross the spars perpendicularly. The only solution is to bypass the complete spar system as a whole!!! Be watchful about your solution just increasing the risk at the next weak link which is where the ribs cross the spars (the rib right before the wing downslopes away from the fuselage and the rib right before the retract bays)
