I have the same problem with CA. One whiff, and I get sinus infection like reactions for a couple of days. It can be a messy and exhausting experience. I still use CA but it is
very limited.
Using a fan only spreads the CA cloud to cover your entire building area. Sucking the air out would be better, but you still have to be careful of not catching any stray CA vapors. A respirator with a carbon filter works for me if I'm using a lot of CA, but the weight of the respirator starts to hurt my neck after awhile of building.
Your best bet is to change glues. Any "carpenters wood glue" will do. These glues are water based, so they won't mess up your clothes like CA (not that ever has been a problem
). Experiment with a few to see what you prefer. I like the consistency of the white Gorilla Wood Glue. It also dries pretty quick for what it is. It may take a
little longer, but least I don't have to heavily medicate during and after a build.
