Rick, the only time that my torqmaster starter would not start my vmax7 easily was when my 12 volt battery was weak. Then the starter was too slow.....but I still managed to get it to start. Usually it starts immediately. I would go ahead and raise the voltage on the glo-panel or try a self contained glo starter. What is your ambient temperature where you are trying to start the engine? The engines can be stubborn to start when it's cold outside (if you're outside). I have started mine inside but my wife made me stop. Anyway, I hope this helps.......there is a guy that visits this forum (T.W.) that never did get his vmax7 to start........I still can't figure that one out.
