I don't know, maybe Echo is learning that boats are probably more dangerous than planes. In my 40 years of building and running hydroplanes, I've seen several occasions where someone had to go to the ER due to serious cuts or lacerations. Most of these happened by inadvertent contact with the metal parts of the boat while it wasn't running, fortunately. I've never heard of anyone almost losing a hand from an aircraft propeller, but I have from hitting a turn fin on a hydroplane. I've seen a boat suddenly stop and then start going backwards due to the prop hitting a turtle and actually getting through the shell. The turtle was caught and taken to an animal hospital for treatment with the prop still imbedded in its shell
