I will be the outlier, My jets are still flying on my old Futaba 14MZH, Mine was one of the first 5 that entered the USA. I recently upgraded to the Futaba 16IZH. I am still in the process of programing in all of my models to the new radio. I have yet to think up something that I wanted but could not program into either of these radios.
My reasons a re simple.
1. I switched to Futaba back in the 70's when Kraft was going away. I have never had a crash due to an electrical issue in all these years. I have heard many pilots at the field with other brands yelling "I AINT GOT IT".
2. I have at least 30 flyable aircraft at this time and a number of not yet ready to fly aircraft, to switch brands would require 30+ new receivers. and a LOT of work to make the change over.
