I learned early on whilst in grade school, to properly, alphabetically catalogue name lists by LAST NAME first, followed by the FIRST NAME.
As an adult, I organized my Rolodex of addresses and phone numbers (remember those?) of friends, family, associates, work contacts, stores, etc. the same way. Why does my Android phone catalogue this list by FIRST, then LAST NAME?
It is counterintuitive as all git.
