Default Beginner Needs help repairing plane

I am a total newb when it comes to the RC planes. I have a Hobbyzone Champ S+, it’s a small, Styrofoam plane I got about 10 years ago that I fly every few years. Most times I use, I end up crashing it. Each time I’ve managed to glue it back together and it works. This time the damage is a little different and not sure how I can repair and need some help.

After the last crash, when I went up to the plane I could smell the scent of something burning but couldn’t tell what. When I got back home I thought I would connect the battery just to make sure the electronics were working and as soon as I made the connection I think I saw a small spark and burned my finger. I pulled back and the part that connects to the wires from the plane to the battery came off. I think the impact shook the wires off the harness and they crossed each other and when I plugged the battery in again, it started a short. I'm left with the bare positive and negative wires and the small plug it goes into that fell off.

I wanted to see what the easiest way is to repair the wiring? I’d rather not trash it and have to buy another plane since I really only do this as a very casual hobby and I figure repairing it is another way to learn to do something in case I ever do upgrade.
Also, can someone tell me again what is the best kind of glue for the Styrofoam?
