On the Edge, the spars slip through rectangular holes in the fuse sides. They overlap in the center of the fuse and are secured with two bolts throught the spars. A the bottom of the fuse is open so that the spars can be joined and to provide access to the radio compartment. The bellypan covers the opening in the bottom of the fuse. According to VF this is a stronger arrangement than having a one-piece wing like the Extra, and having the entire top of the fuse above the wing be a removeable hatch.
