ALL, i repeat, all 8th scale onroad kits will be far too advanced for a beginner.

As for you, i would strongly recommend that you start with a kit. They are very easy to assemble, and you learn so much when building, instead of just purchasing an RTR.

If you plan to race in the future, and this is your first on road car - I would suggest the Team Associated NTC3. You can also get it in RTR format if you want. Both will be great first cars, and can easily win any local race without any hop ups. If your local track is large, the optional two speed tranny will be needed for the RTR version, but thats it.

The RTR version sells for about 300.00 ready to go, and the kit version will run about 500.00 after everything, well equiped.
