Dorian, thanks for jumping in here. I used a G62 on the first one but I have a Sachs based 4.2 that I'm going to use on this one. It's about the same weight as the G62. My first one weighed about 30#. I'm trying my best to get this one to come in around 25#. Good luck on the scale circuit this year.
quietflyer, the quality of this short kit from AMA is very good. Normally this is a scratch built plane from Gary's plans. If you want a high quality kit, get the plans and cut one out. Fortunately the cowl and fenders are available from Arizona Model Aircrafters and are very light and very high quality.
