The Eagle 2 flies like a dream as a converted taildragger. My plane has a 45abc super tigre with a 11x6 apc prop. I went cheap with the conversion. I used the molded plastic landing gear by Dubro because it was the widest I could find to help with ground control since it has been several years since I flew a tail dragger. Also used 3" dubro lite rubber wheels and a .60 size dubro tail wheel bracket with a 1" great planes tail wheel. I had to beef up the fuselage for the main gear. I guess my conversion was 30 - 40$. The c.g. is perfect and the tail is heavy enough that it wont nose over. If any one has an Eagle2 this is really good plane to convert and fly. If I can do it anyone can. The only thing I would like is a steerable tail wheel but I can manage without it because it runs true on the ground (THANK GOODNESS). I was worried about the plastic main gear but it is as tough as advertised. They always keep their original form and never warp or bend out of shape. This plane takes off and lands very well on grass and concrete. I cant be any more pleased. Now maybe a 4 STAR 40? IN YELLOW? OH YEAH! [8D]
