What effect do the seeds have if sucked into the turbine?
Through my extensive contacts in the model jet industry, I was able to learn the results of some very secret tests made by a well known jet engine manufacturer. They showed that the ingestion of dandelion seeds actually INCREASES power by up to 23%, depending on the number seeds per second sucked into the engine.
The dandelion seeds combine catalytically with the fuel/air mixture and add significant energy of combustion to the operation of the engine. The only down side is that there is a slight carbon buildup in the combustion chamber after the ingestion of 2,567,000 seeds.
But this will give you a whole summer of flying thru seeds before you need to de-carbon the engine. I would say the extra power is worth it.
