I have bought kit plans from various sources. Unfortunately plans from Berkeley and Veco* are no longer available from the manufacturer. Some are from Hal DeBolt's CL days. I've never heard of Hal sueing anyone. I think he still flys RC somewhere in the West.
Not everyone adhere's to the modern version of the "Golden Rule"...Sue unto others before they sue unto you.
That said, I already have enough plans to keep me happy for many years. You should attend an Old Time Stunt event where many try to bring out the most obscure plane they can find from prior to December 1952.
My thoughts, although perhaps out of line, was that distributing copies would be better than having an obscure original sitting in one person's shop way down in their todo list. Perhaps not.
