Finally decided to do away with the y-harness into channels 1 and 7. Going to route the upper ail in chs 1 and 6 and the lower in 5 and 7.
Using aileron differential and pmix 1 I can adjust the servos as I like.
Anyone using a dual rx battery for redundancy on the Pitts?
