My girlfriend of six years is an animal lover and after I got back into this hobby after about twelve years and started buying kits and engines and everything else I NEED to go to flying,she started to question what I was spending.Reading the paper one day,I saw an ad for an upcoming bird show,told her about and we went.She spent $500 for a five week old african grey that she had to hand feed for another six months,even though we were told they are weaned in about the four month range.And then she bought another one that was four years old and talks like,well I hate to say it,a woman.She says"where's moma" and that is all it took.After a few green cheeks,a blue and gold mccall,and a few more,I had my tracks covered.The hobby of her choice flies and so does mine!!We have a common interest in things that fly.Hers take seed(organic) and mine need nitro!!!!At the present time,I have about eleven unbuilt kits,twentyfive or so nib engines and five planes to take to the field at any given time.The only bad thing is that her flying buddies last seventy five years and mine don't seem to be able to compete.
