Oops - scratch the Ikea umbrella guys. I checked today, and it uses cheap stamped metal ribs. Of course, I can still use it to keep the sun off of me when I fly (Don't fly over the umbrella...DON'T FLY OVER THE UMBRELLA...OH NUTS.....)
