With car tanks, it takes about 10 seconds max to fill up. With airplane tanks, you need a fuel pump and that takes a long time to fill up. So the best thing would probably be to have a big big car tank, and then a small one or two ounce header type tank to keep it running when you flip. That way, you can fill up fast and not worry about filling the second tank.
