I've seen couple of videos posted online over the past year or so. Don't get me wrong thrust driven will push the hull. but the ones I've seen were not fast did not plane properly nor would they turn worth a damn. You still need a rudder, turn fin and possibly trim tabs, all of which create alot of drag and last but not least one of the largest contributing factors to speed & handling is the prop (diameter, pitch & shape), thrust driven gives you no adjustability or flexability in this regard.
I'm not trying to cause any waves nor discourage anyone from building a thrust driven boat, just my 2 cents. I don't mind being proven wrong either
