Default Fuel tank installation on Super Frontier

I have a World Models Super Frontier 20 and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. According to the manual, the fuel tank for this aircraft is just shoved into the tank bay, and secured from behind by a piece of wood glued to the insides of the airframe. What I am wondering is, is this safe? What precautions, if any, should I take, besides wrapping the fuel tank in foam? I read in a magazine once a review of a different World Models aircraft (forgot which one) that a similar setup was used, and that the author was not pleased with this arrangement, and I believe made some modifications for peace of mind. Unfortunately, I cannot recall which magazine this was in or what the authors solution was. Hope you good people can give me some advice on how to properly secure the fuel tank in this model and avoid any potentially hazardous situations.
