I think on that particular landing, I was at idle and in dead calm air. Balanced right, it is a gentle landing plane. I have certainly never had a lack of elevator response even at the slowest speeds where the plane stays in the air. I think the design is quite sound. By the time the elevator gives out, you are on the ground and ready for full up and under taxiing power to keep air over the elevator and the tail down.
