Default RE: Something Extra Engine?

I know these are not speed planes, but what kind of speed can this plane handle? Could it handle what a 61 could put out? Of course I would seal the hinge lines to eliminate flutter. I just cannot find a speed plane that I like and I have heard all positive about this plane and am thinking of putting something big in it.
Boy if you think that you should put a .61 in it then....I wouldn't try that....I mean you could and all but me IMHO, I really don't think that it will handle it. The Somethin' Extra is a aerobatic/sport plane, not really made for going fast. I'll tell you this, with my Somethin' Extra and a .46AX (OS) in it, it know that it's well going over 90-100 MPH....It really doesn't look like it, but that's about how fast it will go WOT with the 46. If you put a .61 in it and proped it right, then there's not telling how fast it would go.

BTW, if you want a FAST ASS plane, then get that new Patriot that has come back out....I'm SURE that you could have some fun if speed is what you want......But if you want to go stall speed, and just play around doing aerobatics, then I say get that Somethin' Extra.....I don't think you will NOT hear good things about it (I think i said that right!!)
