I have to agree with paul on this being a beginner heli and keeping it that way. I loved the fact That I could pick up a used 117, download the manuals,reset bad settings and get it off the ground as a beginner, this was awesome. I do not know how collective pitch would have changed things but the four channels are enough for me right now. Just my .02
