RE: Hardly any scale for sale

'Speed' boats seem to be the most common kind of boat on the market, so naturally, there will be more of them on the used market. They are the 'sexy', 'neat', most advertised type of boat it seems, and probably the easiest to sell. But 'go fast' is very limiting, not really much else most of them can/will do, but go fast. In general, they're the easiest and fastest to build. (And like every 'generalized' statement, there are always exceptions to the "fastest and easiest to build" thingy!)
Please don't misunderstand. I like the 'go fast' boats too, but I loose interest fairly quikly. I want to be able to 'do' something else besides 'go fast'. 'Scale' boats give me that option. (They tend to draw a bigger crowd, and that's fun too!)
